Leopold Brothers Spirits

Leopold Bros. is a family owned and operated small-batch distillery located in a 100 year old renovated brake factory that produces world class liqueurs, flavored whiskeys, vodka and gin.

Master Distiller Todd Leopold personally handcrafts every spirit we produce in a 40 gallon hand-hammered copper pot still that is so small you could literally wrap your arms around it. Each batch fills just fifty cases, and each bottle is numbered by hand according to the batch that it came from. This small detail tells you that each spirit Leopold Bros. produces is truly unique and made by an artisanal distiller rather than an industrial giant.

Silver Tree Small Batch American Vodka.

93 points, Gold Medal, Beverage Tasting Institute. The definitive example of the microdistilling rennaisance, Silver Tree is the highest rated vodka distilled and bottled in America according to the Beverage Tasting Institute. We distill Silver Tree seven times from a unique blend of potatoes, malted barley, and summer wheat to give our vodka a silky smooth finish. Each handcrafted small batch yields only 50 cases, and is hand bottled and hand numbered, making it a unique and rare find.

Leopold Bros. Rocky Mountain Blackberry Liqueur.

95 points, Gold Medal, Beverage Tasting Institute. Blackberries that are harvested from throughout the Rocky Mountains are crushed, macerated, and then strained before they are mixed with our eau-de-vie. We take the extra step of resting the liqueur in small glass carboys to round the berry notes, and soften the finish. The Beverage Tasting Institute made this their highest rated American liqueur and raved "Very pure and rich and complex. Will make stupendous berry cocktails or enjoy as a dessert or digestif after meals."

Leopold's Small Batch American Gin.

88 points, Silver Medal, Beverage Tasting Institute. We distill each batch of our gin from the finest botanicals including juniper berries, orris root, and hand-zested Valencia oranges. The result is a much smoother gin that makes for subtle martinis, while at the same time Leopold's won't get lost in a gin and tonic. Each handcrafted batch is unique, yielding only fifty cases of an exceptionally complex yet subtle spirit which both those new to American Gin and the connoisseur will appreciate.

Leopold Bros. Rocky Mountain Peach Liqueur.

92 points, Gold Medal, Beverage Tasting Institute. Made with succulent peaches harvested from the Rocky Mountains, the Beverage Tasting Institute (BTI) rated this as the best Peach Liqueur on the market. We destone, juice, and blend only the finest peaches with our eau-de-vie, and then take the extra step of resting the liqueur in small glass carboys to round the peach notes and soften the finish. BTI raved "great, pure, natural flavor - try with Asti Spumanti or Prosecco for a killer Bellini cocktail."

Leopold Bros. Rocky Mountain Peach Whiskey.

87 points, Silver Medal, Beverage Tasting Institute. The finest Peaches are harvested from the Rocky Mountains, juiced, and blended with whiskey before they are racked into used bourbon barrels. The charred barrels help to pull the sweetness of the peaches down so that they balance with the mellowed charcoal flavors of the whiskey. What you will find in this bottle is an after dinner drink that is unlike any spirit you have ever enjoyed. Makes for stunning Manhattans, and is perfect on the rocks.

Leopold Bros. Rocky Mountain Blackberry Whiskey.

Blackberries from the northern reaches of the Rocky Mountains are crushed and added to new make whiskey. This berry flavored whiskey is then moved to used bourbon barrels so that the berry flavor can marry with the whiskey to produce flavors that are more rounded and full. The perfect gift for those who are always on the lookout for something unique.

Originally a drink for lactating mothers, oatmeal stout was described as nutritional on early labels. Oats are in the same family as barley, and a small addition yields great flavor. Popular in the late 1800’s, the last oatmeal stout was brewed before the First World War until Samuel Smith reintroduced this style in 1980.

Almost opaque, with an unusually silky texture and complex, medium-dry velvet palate. Bittersweet finish.

Pizza and salad, Italian foods, steamed clams, grilled ahi tuna, lobster with drawn butter, steak, ploughman’s lunch, crumpets, shish kebabs, vegetable ragout and eggs Florentine, dark flavorful bread and aged Stilton. Serve at 55 degrees.

Taddy Porter

History
Porter was the first commercially brewed beer. It was named for the train porters who were its original servers and consumers. Samuel Smith’s Old Brewery, Yorkshire’s oldest, reintroduced authentic porter to the British beer scene in 1979 after an absence of more than 50 years.

Very dark, fairly full in body and packed with flavor. Intense, dry tangy character of roasted barley.

Oysters on the half shell, Rockefeller or Cajun style, clams, mussels, crab cocktail, lobster bisque and other shellfish, smoked mackerel pâté, veal with green peppercorns, porterhouse steak and of course chocolate. Serve at 55 degrees in nonik or tumbler.
